So… Not only is my new name not registering on here or on xbox.com, but Halo would only let me log in once (with my incorrect name) and then wouldn’t let me play.
Now when I try to boot the game, I see this.
I’ve reinstalled the game, restarted my computer, deleted the MCC folder in LocalLow AND just the webcache after a fresh boot, reset and restarted my modem, port forwarded to Xbox MCC and Steam MCC individually -and- together. I don’t know what is going on here but the guy who bought this game for me is pretty sad and upset that he can’t play with me.
