Can't Link Steam Account

As said in the title, I can’t link my steam account to the flighting in Halo Insider for PC.
What pops up in the error is:

:frowning: Application Error
If you are the application administrator, you can access the diagnostic resources.

The link of this popup is:

https://login.halowaypoint.com/openid/steam

I have tried to use different browsers, delete cache and cookies, have steam running in the background signed in, both the website and the app, I have turned off the steam authenticator, refreshed the page, and I don’t know how to fix this. Please help!

I’ve been getting the same error all day. Tried it with Firefox, Chrome, Edge; With and without ad block software. I’ve cleared my browsing/cache data and reboot my PC, nothing has worked.

It might just be temporarily broken, wait a few hours and see if it works.

I contacted Microsoft support and they said this issue is affecting pretty much everyone as of recent, but apparently posting on the forums is getting Steam’s “tech support group’s” attention and they’re supposed to reach out and help anyone suffering the same error. Haven’t heard anything from them yet, but I’ll keep you posted.

I as well am going though the same thing and I cant link my steam account

I’m stuck with an Application Error also. Everything else is complete, so this is the last step.

Tried again this afternoon and was met with same error. Might need to wait for MS or Steam to reach out for this one then.

Is there a way to change the steam account linked to your Halo insider account? I am not sure if i linked the right steam account and i don’t know where to check?

ok I found out how to check and edit it, click your profile and click Halo Insider to edit what steam account you have linked.

You mean lining your steam account for Halo Insider? I don’t know what that means, I’ve never seen it before.

The problem has been solved. Maybe there was something with my Internet.(i got some reference and it’s something about the certification.)And, Whatever, Thanks.

Im also still having the same issue, it allows me to log in and but i get a forever non responsive white screen from the URL…

I need help too. I cant connect it, it just makes me reload to nothing.
