Can't Launch MCC

So tonight I had a real need for a fix of Halo, but after I put my disc into my Xbox and it did it’s customary quiet whirring, it suddenly stopped, and the game hadn’t opened. I tried to open it manually via games and apps, but it came up with the whole “sign in to a profile that has this game or buy this game” thing. What makes this odd is that the machine wasn’t even recognising the disc being in it, as in there was no small disc icon in the MCC square on the homepage. Tried taking out the disc and putting it back in several times, but to no avail. Has anyone else run into this problem, and is there any way to fix this?

Hello, have you tried to soft reset the console? (From xbox on, press and hold the power button until the console turns off). In case of a negative result you could try to connect to xbox live via hotspot or another network, or unfortunately you will have to try to cancel the MCC and re-download it.
