I am playing the game on PC and when my friend and I attempt to join each others squad (he is on the Xbox) it says that we have different versions of the game. As if my updated and his didn’t. We have power cycled his console several times with no luck. Also whenever we send invites to the game to one another neither of us get the invites. On other games we do and we also receive party invites as well. So it is just this game. The only way that we have found in order to attempt to join the other persons squad was to click on friends in the bottom right and then click on the other persons name and click on “Join Squad”, which then gives us the message that we have different versions
Unfortunately this game is no Cross-Play enabled. You can’t play the same game with an Xbox One player.
I was afraid of that but I wasn’t sure, some sites said you could and some you couldn’t so I wasn’t sure which to believe
The game features Xbox Play Anywhere. This means that if you buy the game digitally for one device, you’ll have access on another. This also means your DLC, game saves and online statistics are shared between versions.
Alright, well I guess I will have to install the game on my xbox then. I just prefer mouse and keyboard and had hopes that it would work cross platform
There was talk from Microsoft about adding Mouse and Keyboard support for games on the Xbox One. So fingers crossed for future RTS games on consoles.
