This has been a constant problem for a few months now. I boot up Halo 4 normally but cannot join matchmaking or Spartan Ops. I’m told that I’m not connected to Live but I am. Whenever I get this problem, at the title screen I’m asked to choose my storage device, when I AM able to join matchmaking I’m not asked this. Also, sometimes when this happens the game tells me that it can’t read my gamer profile and that I don’t have the War Games map pass downloaded but I do. I’m one of the limited edition owners. I’ve contacted Xbox Live Support via twitter but they had no idea what the problem could be. They told me to clear my console’s cache, but it didn’t fix the problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Do you have the game installed to your console’s HDD?
If you mean downloaded as in from the games on demand marketplace then no. I’m one of the limited edition owners.
If you’re talking about my Matchmaking profile, Save Data and stuff like that then yes.
