Can't join friends

So since season 7 started I can’t join friends, getting the error “can’t join because you are a follower”.

Today my brother also got the error where I’m not showing up in his friend list to invite me, so we have to go through the steam friends list.

Is there anyway to fix this? This is super annoying.

I got that error message today, restarting MCC twice worked for me somehow. Though I play on Series X, so if restarting doesn’t fix it, than you may want to submit a ticket via the Halo Support Website.

Same here. A weird bug for sure. I might report it… Given the last two reports I got responses akin to “We don’t know what’s going on” and received several messages over the span of 4 months saying they still don’t know.

How do you report bugs?

You can report them here, but I think this issue is already known.
