If you can’t join it’s because your Xbox Live account is actually not the age of majority. Changing your DOB on your account doesn’t do anything or trick the system.

Read my post above this one. I would be willing to bet that the DOB entered on the account when it was created has not reached 18 years of age yet.

Why do they even add age restrictions but i can get the whole thing about kids but seriously i just dont understand it.

I’m not quite sure, but if our Monitors don’t have the answer, then putting our concerns on a forum is a waste of time. The only assumption I can make is that all of the of the previous Halo games were Rated M-Mature. The most recent, such as Halo 5 Guardians and Halo Wars 2 are Rated T-Teen. Now that being said, it would only make sense to have the restriction age changed from 18 to 13. 343 Industries is excluding content from its users by not allowing them to access certain commendation packs and the Achilles armor that everyone painfully tries to achieve in Halo 5. Now I understand that if you are a kid and you just so happen to put in the wrong DOB and that would be your fault. But by putting in the new rating that isn’t mature, and also advertising Spartan Companies to Halo 5, you would think 343 would let their audience know of the age restrictions of halowaypoint before teenagers would attempt to sign up. It’s not fair for a teenager that is the right age and is looking at the advertisement that 343 Industries put the rating T-Teen at the very beginning of their videos to just be put down as they get to the website. As Halo 5 is getting older, I am encountering newer players to the Halo franchise that have never played that are ages around 13 to 17. It is very sad to that there have been many cases like and it still hasn’t been resolved.

Same man almost 2 days ago i met a kid online couldnt have been older than 7 or 6 and he was on the war path (cursing/mom jokes/racism/you name it) i dont know how most parents put up with it let alone let them play M or higher games.

Don’t take this as to me attacking I’m just looking at this constructively as possible. Even if you are going by age of majority, which is 18 in most states of the United States, it still doesn’t explain as to why advertise a game that targets a younger audience to not be able to join Spartan companies until the age of majority. At this point, it does have a lot to due with the rating of Halo 5 Guardians. I could see this as not an issue with Halo 4 because you had to be over 17 to buy the game. As adults, most people wouldn’t think of stuff like this because most of the audience that played the previous Halo were probably already the age of majority. The games are evolving more and more each time, but also the audience that players get access to. In my opinion I really think that this should get looked into more thoroughly.
