This is the second time I’ve had an issue because of the fact that the Microsoft Store is an unpolished mess. I need to install the game onto an external SSD, my “D:” drive, but I can’t. The game won’t allow me to choose which drive to install on, which is a huge issue, because I can’t clear up anything on my “C:” drive. I’d much rather just get a Steam Key for the flighting, since Steam is a much more user friendly platform than the Microsoft Store. I want to help out in the flight, but I can’t, because of another stupid issue that honestly shouldn’t be an issue.
Edit: I already have the Steam version of the base game, which adds further to my annoyance. 343i has access to my SteamID, I had to submit it when I signed up for flighting, so they should know that I have the game on Steam already. I’m honestly contemplating pulling out of the flights just because of how disappointed I’ve been so far.
Hey OP, there are a couple of ways you can resolve this - you can change the default installation path/drive or move a currently installed app to another location. Have a read through this article for details: https://www.techjunkie.com/change-install-location-windows-10-apps/

Submitting your Steam ID doesn’t guarantee you access to Steam for flighting. A balance needs to be struck so that both platforms have enough users on them to test things out, otherwise one might get more heavily weighted. Understandable that players have preferred platforms but you’re benefitting development of the game no matter which one you use.

This is why flighting was set up though and why it’s so important. If these issues were found or troubleshooted then it would be so much harder to track down and resolve bugs. Flighting isn’t always going to be things working perfectly, there wouldn’t be the need to flight if everything just worked first time

Thank you, and my apologies for the frustration.
EDIT: I’ve run into another issue. Should I create a new thread, or just stick with this one? Basically, issue is that the game that gets downloaded only shows up as 10.12MB, and I’m just going on a limb and saying that that isn’t right. Any ideas?

Actually, my issue does pertain to the flighting build!
EDIT: Literally right after sending this, it showed up as being the proper 31GB size, so thanks stckrboy!
