I’m on the east coast, this is prime time and I can’t get matched. I’ve tried now for 35 minutes, not even a JIP match. Also tried switching from balanced to expanded and still nothing, just says unable to match after about five minutes. Other games are working fine so I don’t think it’s me. My connection is 300 down 12 up 10ms ping Nat open.

Just got the error message that I cannot find a match bc there aren’t enough players in the game type to match with. Wow…
Me too. It’s very annoying, I tried searching solo, couldn’t find game. Population message thing appeared.
well there letting you guys play arena but no one else, firefight is the single plylist for me…wow
guess what i dnt think we r gna be able to match other regions anymre or ply other than bet 6pm and 11 pm daily but its ok we’l ply fun firefight instead and practice crouch strafes on warden eternal, sik clips r coming boys no scope that grunt 4 lugundo now

Well thats what happens when you take a social game mode, and apply MMR based matching into the parameters, effectively making it ranked. I’d venture that at this point, the Halo 5 population is the lowest its ever been since launch, coupled with the fact that you will only be allowed to match against a certain % of Warzone players (probably Tier 1), and the fact that 343i is having issues pointing the finger on whats actually wrong and implementing a fix (which is TBD).
Make a smurf, find out how fast you can find a game.
Updating that this should be fixed now, but may take a little bit for things to stabilise
