I just can’t use this weapon. I lose simple 1-1 duels to AR weilders, magnum weilders… pretty much any weapon.
I’m reasonable with most other weapons so what am I missing? I spam it like hell and the slow projectile velocity means most shots miss (and the ones that hit don’t seem to do anything). I charge it up and the resulting pile of blue snot bounces randomly about hitting friends and foes, but mainly nothing.
Any tips on how to use this supposed power weapon are welcome 
Treat it like a brute shot and bounce the grenades towards people (Shoot the ground in a way that will make the grenades bounce toward the enemy or his intended location), or if you’re feeling really lucky, charge it up and try and stick the opponent. It’s definitely a harder weapon to use, but it can be pretty fun. I suggest you try and practice aiming with it in Forge mode so you get used to it’s physics.

I treat it like I am throwing plasma nades since that is basically what it is. That being said, i can’t seem to do that in this game either, so it doesn’t help me much, lol. Still better with it than a Splaser though,
Use the single shots the same way you would a frag grenade and use the charged up ones the way you would use a plasma grenade.
I think most people in the community currently have similar issues with this weapon. It is pretty difficult to get kills with it. I mainly just use it to help clear out rooms when the enemy team is all crowded in the same area since I can’t get much use out of it otherwise at my current level of skill
Don’t bother getting direct hits with the primary fire. They’ll just bounce off the enemy. Stupid I know.
You want to fire it in a way that causes the grenades to bounce and airburst in people’s faces. Or charge it up and get direct hits with it. Another potential way to kill with it is to charge it up, anticipate enemy movement and fire it at walls or ceilings so it rains down on them with a swarm of mini-grenades.
Overall though…you might be better off just ignoring it. Everyone else seems to.

I like your thinking, haha. In warzone when i am done with the commendation, which I have not yet started, i will never touch the thing again, lol.
I mostly use it around corners. If they can’t get a straight shot on you, they can’t kill you. So I stay around the corner and just bounce it off the walls at people in the room, if you do a few at a time, it is really hard for them to get away from it and I always get the kill that way.

I dunno about that, I seem to get shot and killed through walls a lot, lol.

Well, it works for me. I can get some easy kills with it. I love it the most on Empire on FFA. After I get it, I just watch the rooms on either side outside and when people start coming that way just spam it in there. I love when people are fighting in there and I can get a few kills at once.
Charge shots into a group of enemies during Warzone have gotten me several over kills. I never bother wasting ammo with the non charge shots.
The charged shot can go further than the full length or height of the arena maps. Use that to make blind shots into enemy lines. Especially into Warzone bases/cores.

it can also stick to enemys
It’s a 2 melee kill. 1 if you hit the enemy Spartans back. That’s pretty much the best way to use the Plasma Caster.
Or use its occasionally crazy magnetism to take out hogs. Check out the second shot.
A few tips for the Plasma Caster, hereafter referred to as the PC.
Its a support weapon, use it to flank enemies and to take out people in small buildings, don’t charge it and instead bounce 3-4 shots off a doorway into the building and get guys ambushing you. Warzone Assault this weapon can wreck a team defending the armoury.
Charging is nigh useless, it takes to long, you’re likely to get killed if you get caught, and sticking is tough in combat. Using is 1v1 in charged up shots like I see people doing in Arena is not going to go well for you very often.
RELOAD! “Of course I do” you say, but I’ve seen so many noobs getting caught by the small magazine size, fire one shot and get caught out empty.
If you play Warzone and have the Scourge of Fire variant, use it. It fires 2 plasma bolts per trigger pull instead of one, so double the damage if you launch 2-3 shots into a chokepoint. The third tier one is all but useless, it instead turns charged shots into proximity mines.
