Every. Single. Time.
The one game I did manage to get into (which was my second attempt since then nothing) looked beautiful but was a horrible experience…however I wanted to play 10-20 matches to at least make sure it was garbage. At this point from the little play time I got I wont be buying this game. I could live with all these gimmicks in campaign and they would probably be fun but not in multiplayer. Have always loved the campaigns and halo lore but this game wont be worth $60 to me with this multiplayer.
Hold down the power button for your Xbox for 5-6 seconds. Then leave it off for a few minutes. Then go into the Halo 5 Beta after and it should work fine

Thanks for the suggestion. You forgot I bought the MCC so I know all these tricks already. Done that several times…even unplugged everything…still nothing.
Im having this same problem. Every attempt of joining ends in a constant flicker and then error messages. Power cycles, unplugging didnt work for me either and NAT is all open
