I have been on the support with Microsoft, who has been saying that “the halo wars definitive edition is console only for early access” I called them out on their BS, but it won’t let me download the game on my computer. I have it downloaded on the xbox, but everytime I find it on the windows store, it says “You own this product” but the download button is grayed out. Any suggestions? I have talked to multiple xbox/microsoft agents who have been no help at all.
Go to the Halo wars 2 page, there will be a button that says manage. Click that and it should take you to a list of downloads, one will be the DE with a download arrow you can click.
