So I was playing offline cause I had issues with my Internet connection, and I thought I would forge while it was fixed. But nope. Can’t forge without an internet connection.
And can’t forge without Xbox Live Gold either.
Yay 343. Yay.
This should be fixed so you could forge offline.

You lose the map!
The game was built completely around dedicated servers. I don’t get why this is a huge surprise. How hard is it to press the “View” button & save your work all the time?

Well that sucks… The only time I ever got any forging done it’s either cause I had no internet or I didn’t have gold. I like to take some time away from gold cause I get too focused on playing multiplayer I never get any solo gaming done unless I have no gold.
I thought dedicated servers was cause halo 5 was gonna be a game that was so large it wouldn’t run on the xbox one alone but it looks worse than halo 4 which was on the 360. The game looks unfinished, I feel like I’m playing a beta copy cause I can’t believe some of the glitches I keep getting that never get an answer to them. Halo 5 is pretty much a massive digital paper weight on my hard drive that doesn’t really deserve to take up space. If I wasn’t a fan of halo I would of taking it back, I’m only still playing cause I’m a fan.

You can use the select/view button to quick save, I use it quite often just to be safe.
I’m afraid this is the future of gaming, everything “online” not only forge mode but entire games.
I was searching my -Yoink- off for the Halo 5 copy on my limited edition console until I realised the scratch card I just thrown away was not a 14 day trail but the game itself.
I’d rather have a real copy then a digital copy, and I’d rather have all the content on the disc then only campaign.
Especially on the topic of forge, I tend to forget saving the game from time to time and with my crappy internet connection that’s a huge risk to take :P.
Hope they make forge playable off-line but I’m afraid that wont be possible or hard to do.
