I have the same issue every now and then but in the evening I seem to find plenty of games…

European Players i heard left because of the lack of servers, only got American servers. I play on xbox its the same with the servers buts it easier to find games. With PC though European players will not stick it out and play with that latency and crap online.
Firstly you can only buy this game on the windows store (sadface), nobody uses the windows store, there are like what 2000 players playing. Not just that they messed up the launch and the campaign sucked and they expect you to buy the season pass, ofc no one is play this game after they heard all this news. I just play it casually cus I am a big halo fan but yh. this game is indeed dead feelsbadman.
Halo Wars 2 is quite popular on Xbox but I think on PC it has not even close the playerbase the Xone has…
Finding a match is extremely hard and takes extremely long (PC).

This is day four were I can’t find other players… Which is strange, because apparently you guys had this problem for a long time now. Not even a week ago I played every evening for over two hours in a row. There were only two players I used to find all the time in Blitz, deathmatch worked perfectly as well. Than nothingness. I’m letting the game research for over a hour in different game types with no results.Yet I still hear that people are playing on PC with little to no problems. So WTF is happening? 
BTW, just for the info.: I’m Italian, but I’m “playing/waiting” in Austria right now. Same result in both countries with different connections.

Just hope they release this game on steam and then we will have a player base as stated above the game does have a bigger base on xbox so only time will tell

A lot of people say because it’s unfair to xbox players but it really isn’t.
most of the top players use xbox controllers on the pc and still wreck mouse and keyboard players.
I just wish some mods would give us some strait answer or at least some clarification already. Many people seem to have this problem and this is the fifth tread I found with this concern. We from the PC/Win10 community payed for the game as well, I’m fairly pissed that we’re getting dismissed so easily like second class citizen.

The game is in DX12 only, so even if it’s on Steam, you’ll still need Win10 to play it.

Ngl. I have two PC accounts in the top 25 in 1v1 and I have only played with a controller so far.
Some PC players can’t even play online since the “Network Error” from Kinsanso Patch…
I just installed the game on my Surface and the first try matchmaking within 5 secs… It is not the first time you complain about pc population in asia, over here it is everything fine for me. I will try again in a couple of hours. But so far everything looks the same as my xbox one s.

Yeah, the war pad vs. m+k is fairly nonsensical. Don’t get me wrong though, of course it’s more comfortable and precise to use a mouse, button combos on keyboard are faster as well, but in an action based RTS game like HW2 precision means little to nothing when you’re using the wrong tactic. Not to mention that the game was build around a pad in first place, circle menus on PC are’nt intuitive at all for instance. To be fair though, controls with m & k are really well made so far! Only putting cards on the field is a bit -Yoink!- most of the time.
However, I have no idea how you can find a game. I’m sitting like a duck in matchmaking for hours in different game modes during the evening hours were more players are around usually. I don’t know if it’s because of technical reasons or because the population is really dead, but the fact is I could find a single game in five days and I’m pissed to say the least!
Happy if your experience was different, but I can’t go on the forum and claim stuff that doesn’t apply to me…
EDIT: today it started working again. There were some rumors on this forum about European servers having problems and the lack of people not being the real issue here. It seems the rumor was right I guess. I just wish 343i/CA would be more direct about it. I can handle not being online for a week if they give me a reason for why…
