I’ve been playing Halo: Reach online for the last 4 days and not once have I encountered any Noble or Defiant maps on Matchmaking. I’m starting to think it may be an issue on my end.
I do not have the Anniversary Map Pack but I do have both Noble and Defiant. Whenever I go on any of the Competitive Playlists, it tells me that I “do not have the recommended maps for this playlist”. At first, I thought it simply referred to the Anniversary Maps, but Condemmed, Tempest, Anchor 9 etc. do not even show up as voting options whenever I play.
The maps are there when I go on Custom Games and Forge and I even played Unearthed on Score Attack Matchmaking. I deleted both map packs from my hard drive and re-downloaded them, but I still haven’t seen any Noble or Defiant maps whatsoever.
I’m not sure if I’m just unlucky enough to be constantly partied with people who don’t have any of the DLC or if there’s some issue with the game loading the maps for me, but I can’t find any information to help and don’t know what to do about it.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Reach has the lowest DLC sales in Halo history. Finding a whole group in MM that has the DLC (outside of Anniversary) is like finding a needle in two hay-stacks.
I’ve kind of got an unwritten rule now that I won’t be playing Reach till they sort out the DLC issue.
Not because of the acheivements, but because I paid for them all (even when MS wouldn’t replace the broken anniversary code that came with CEA) and because aside from Spire, all of the maps that shipped with Reach are -Yoink-!

Well you will only risk getting banned if there is any player that dosent get any kills. But yes we shouldent have to be forced to boost to earn them.
When I read that they’d removed the Premium playlists I was pretty annoyed but I never knew the DLC was the lowest selling ever. I guess I can at least stop worrying about it being an issue on my end. I must just have not found a full group who owns any DLC.
I hope they put the Premium playlists back in because, aside from wanting the newer achievements, I really like the downloaded maps a lot. Here’s hoping.
I’m sorry to say I am not the least bit impressed with 343 so far, and this is just one example of why. Not only should their be a DLC playlist in Reach, but you should be able to play them from Anniversary. After all, if you bought them why should 343 care which game you’re using to play them?

More like a needle in Tartarus’s -Yoink!- hair, I hope you think about it.
This is really annoying. When I finally decided I should get the Noble and Defiant packs I loved the Premium Battle playlist. And now it’s gone. The sad reality is that there needs to be Premium playlists of some sort for people to make the most of their DLC.

If people wanted to play DLC, they would be playing that playlist, meanwhile it struggled to hit any higher than 500 at peak times.

You cant play the defiant and noble packs of the anniversary disc even if you install rach to your hard drive.
And the shame goes even more with the Invasion gametype, 'cause there are only 2 maps for it, plus the DLC one, but it NEVER show.

I have all of the maps and haven’t gotten to play any of them from the noble or defiant map pack ever since the title update. It’s funny, because I payed for them $10 each, and have only played them about a dozen times MAX. BS angel said it would be easier to find people with the maps. Guess not…

Until Halo becomes more popular again I’m probably skipping out on DLC from now on. We’ll see how popular halo 4 is.
Yeah, the maps almost never come up. DLC requirements NEED to be put on a bunch of playlists, the ones I want to see them on most are Team Objective, BTB, Infection, and Squad Slayer
I haven’t played infection for a while, and out of 3 games yesterday, I got condemned, solitary, and the new zealot. So either I’m ridiculously lucky or you guys have trouble with your map packs.
