Onyx in Slayer / Arena / SWAT and can’t find games when queuing solo, maybe one every 30 minutes if I’m lucky. To get more reliable matchmaking I have to join someone’s lobby who can find games themselves. Only been happening since last update (February Season).

UK here and exact same issue. I can’t find any matches in BTB (my main arena playlist) and haven’t been able to since the last update. I can only find matches if I join my american friends.
Good luck trying to get a response from anyone at 343, there are multiple threads on the issue and not a single reply. You would think not being able to play the game would be one of the biggest issues? Whatever they did to the servers with the last update has had a negative lasting effect and with each passing day more people come on here asking what is going on and are met with no response.

First thing, If you can, open your NAT. I am in UK with Open NAT and almost the exact same bandwith as you(not that bandwith matters as far as finding players goes) and I never have problems finding games, even after the update and i’m playing at Onyx of which there are less here than US. NAT cannot be open and moderate at the same time, not sure what you’re saying with the “open/moderate”, is your NAT broken?
Open NAT allows you to connect to many more people, if you have it moderate you’re already extending your search time significantly. If you don’t have your network set up in the optimal way with open NAT it’s hardly fair to create a thread and post all over the forums complaining you can’t find games. Your set up is the problem, search Xbox Support for more information on NAT if you don’t want to take my word for it
Also iv’e seen you on the forums and iv’e seen other people explain and I have actually explained to you why this is happening so i don’t understand why you’re perpetuating this notion that there’s something wrong with the servers when it’s you at fault.

It’s not him at fault. 343 tweaked the parameters with the last update. Lots of people are having the same issue, especially in the UK and EU. If you aren’t having the issue, good for you but for others it’s becoming increasingly frustrating. I never had any difficulties in finding matches at all prior to the recent update but now I can not find any matches in a bunch of Arena playlists. There is obviously a glitch in the system because I doubt there are too few people in my region to find matches if that is the case.
Trust me, I have fantastic internet too and an open nat. I have a bunch of friends with the exact same issue originating at the exact same time.
I’m the same, play from the UK onyx in slayer unranked in the rest pretty much, although struggling to find matches of even Warzone or BTB, this has only been since latest update and my connection stats are:
Nat: open
Speed: 20/30Mb
It’s deffinetly the latest update not really complaining too much because I can find games most of the time 12pm - 10pm it’s when I go on late I can’t seem to connect at all although I can see American friends playing. And also seeing whats possibly coming in the next update it should be pretty impressive. A matchmaking fix would be ideal though.

Yes, you’re right, it was the latest update, but the reason it is like this is because it is searching for people in your area as opposed to people half way round the world, not because it’s broken or anything. We asked 343 for the option to choose our server and instead they did this, can’t tell you why :(. Having open NAT would potentially help his situation though as whether it’s searching internationally or locally it means you can connect to more players.
Honestly i like it better this way, if i ever can’t find a game i’ll just search a different playlist or play with one of my American friends as long as they’re east coast cause UK/EU players being forced onto US servers is exactly what the update was to address.
