Hello everyone, I used to play halo 5 a lot a few years ago and never had issues matching or playing, however i just got Halo again yesterday and it’s impossible to find a game. My internet is fine, and I’m in the UK and I tried at all different times, I can’t find arena games besides super fiesta. As far as I can tell my reputation is fine, so is there any fixes for this? Thanks.
(I don’t get any error messages just searching for match constantly)
Try searching on expanded if you aren’t already.

Its very much “a luck of the draw” thing I never ever search on anything other then balanced and get arena games as well as warzone ones within a couple of minutes. The only game I can never get is WZA I wait and wait and wait again but nothing, now other palyers get WZA straight away.
There are the normal factors that affect getting matched, ie number of players wanting to play that type of game, how many are single players and how many are in pairs or bigger teams. Hang in there, games will come around

This would be a nice first step in attempting to solve this issue.
Also, keep in mind that another factor at play could be your Matchmaking Rank (MMR): it is the Halo 5’s backend skill based matchmaking system (seperate from your visible rank in ranked playlists) that is used in all playlists. Since you haven’t played in a while , the game might be having issues finding players with similar MMR. Mind you that might not be the main issue here, but it could be a factor. For comparison’s sake, I’m from Europe as well (Bulgaria more precisely, but eh it’s still the same region game-wise) and aside from WZA I don’t really have too many issues finding games during the day/early evening (Slayer and Super Fiesta are pretty much instantaneous in terms of finding games).

Thanks for that input. I used to have no issues searching on balanced, and now even expanded does not cut it. I guess there is a lot less players nowadays. I’ll keep trying. I can find super fiesta games easy, and they’re pretty fun. I’d just love to play ranked arena! Add me and we can try together or something? My GT is X jt killer X

Thanks man, sounds like a possible problem, I guess at the moment all i can do is play whenever possible and eventually the game will be able to match me more easily. Super fiesta i have no issues with, it’s just more ranked arena now. Ah well, maybe we might come against each other at some point!

Me too it is very hard to find a game…
