I’m a big halo fan, I own all the games an extended media.
i follow the lore and whatnot. This is a problem that has been occurring to many that I’ve seen.
it’s that i can’t simply find a game outside of warzone. I’m sure many has the same problem from the other forums i’ve seen. my connection is fine and other multiplayer games work. I cant believe that the player population is that low.
i just wanna play some halo.
I’m in the same boat mate. Thought I’d wake up and jump on for a couple of games this morning. Can’t find a game in a single playlist. Its probably going to remain that way for another 4 hours. Last night was the same, except for swat. This is just ridiculous.
They’re going to have to change the latency only searches for at least one of the arena playlists (social slayer being the obvious).
I bought the xbone purely for Halo 5 MM. I fear I may have thrown a decent amount of money down the drain with this purchase. Starting to think i would have been better off with Battlefront or COD for PS4. That or I need to friend request some American social players so I can actually play the game.
Alternatively they can change the Australian name of the game to Halo 5: Warzone - Peak time only.
Yep for me it has only been getting worse. I can’t play anything atm… sometimes only warzone, sometimes only arena and never anything else!!! I wish I could get a little big team battle…
Black ops 3 doesn’t have this problem and I haven’t even had to open the ports yet.
Titanfall and battlefield have NEVER had this problem!

I completely agree, this game should be renamed halo 5: war zone.I’m not an expert or a game dev but I believe that they need to merge the Australian and American servers. The dedicated servers are destroying the Australian halo 5 community or what is left of it.
Is there any way to make this apparent to 343 industries?
Also on the matter I believe that halo should implement the same system as titan fall. when I log on to titan fall it says that there are only 8 regional players but you can choose what region or server you can play in. As other servers are populated. I don’t know how hard this is to achieve, but I think this would allow hundreds of players to continue playing the game. That they payed a lot for, I myself bought the $150 dollar version.
I didn’t pay $150 for warzone.

Yeah another aussie here… i cannot play at all. And before -Yoink!- suggest open NAT etc i have all that, i can hop into Forza 6 fine immediately… i used to play halo 5 fine … i used to be able to hop into slayer in 5 seconds… Ive now been trying for nearly an hour… cannot find a game…
so can aussies not play this game anymore? wtf is going on?

What he is trying to say is that when you search for games in Australia it searches for only Australian servers. At the current moment servers in Australia are really low like maybe 30 people in each server at most half the time, this means that when you search for a game you wont find one simply because most of the Australian gamers are idiots and play call of duty instead of halo. If you want to bypass this play with at least 1 other player and it searches world wide. Basically you can search for 5 hours and never find a game because simply there is no one on to play against/with, but if you search with a friend you will find a game SIGNIFICANTLY Faster… due to searching all current running servers.

Please vote for selectable data centers over at the official Xbox feedback site. If we get to chose the servers we wish to connect to we would solve at least two issues.
- You guys can find games - youl´ll chose a server that has a player population. - We can chose a server with good ping to have better games. Latency is killing the game for international players.With selectable data centers you can chose whether you wish to find games quickly or if you´d rather wait longer to get a game with good ping.
There is also a thread discussing the latency issues when international players get matched onto US servers.
yeah honestly, halo 5 has slowly killed my love for halo.
I can find a game in warzone in seconds! everytime, seconds, i am in a game. Every arena playlist? dead.
I have to search for up to an hour in each playlist before i find a game and its crazy? a few weeks ago i could play any playlist fine.
I refuse to believe the servers are that “Dead” there is no one in them.

Then please raise some noise for selectable servers. Its the only way Halo 5 can make a comeback outside the US and that future releases do not overlook these basic needs for international players…
Titanfall did selectable regions and guess waht… you can still find a game in seconds and how old is titanfall now???.
Cant see why it’s so hard…? Such a shame as the gameplay is so so good!
Yep same here. In Melbourne, have been unable to find a single arena match over three days of trying. I’ll usually wait a couple of minutes for Warzone games at most.

Are you kidding? Nothing against you but why ruin the game for everyone? We already have a ton of out of region players in our lobbies (Japan, Mexico, France, Denmark…) They need dedicated servers for everyone. I agree that they could give players a choice of playing out of region if they can’t find a regional match but a player should also have the choice of playing a region locked server as well or at least a server with a max ping under 100ms…
