Cant find games in Australia/oceania

i cant seem to ever find a game on the australian server. Is mcc dead in aus or is matchmaking screwed. The steam charts are similar to halo infinite. I dont want to play on us west as the ping and lag is unplayable.

I feel your pain brother. Here in America if you que just for Halo 2A (which is my favorite), you can literally sit for hours and hours before a game comes around.

The game is sadly dead.

H2A playlist may be ā€œdeadā€, but the game overall is far from it. Other playlists have healthy populations. With platform and input restrictions enabled, I still find games consistently in Halo Reach.

Aside from that, I am sorry that you ain’t able to find games in your favorite playlist though. I bet it’s super frustrating and I’m sure I’d feel the same way if people stopped queuing for Reach.

Yeah as an OG Halo guy I don’t like Reach at all. It’s interesting the romance Reach has had. Great campaign but terrible multiplayer. At the time of launch that was pretty much the consensus.

Personally, I think those that were kids or teenages when Reach came out love the game now as adults. That was ā€œtheir/yourā€ first Halo game.

I can understand that but as someone who was there on launch night for Halo 2, Halo 3, ODST…Reach’s multiplayer is not that fun for me especially the blooming DMR.

I’m a fan since CE’s release, but the multiplayers of the other Halos just never sat well with me. I only ever enjoyed Reach’s, and I didn’t even start playing the multiplayer until a while after Reach released. I just find it the ā€˜smoothest’ out of the bunch.

I can only say that the population is very low atm. I live in Europe and can barely even find games on Halo 3 EU servers, I would recommend to use all servers and yes you will be put in an USA lobby 99 percent of the time and yes there will be massive delay and lagging moments but its the best you can get atm.
The game has like 3k active players on steam, on 5 multiplayer (pvp) games, not even mentioning all the coop playlists and pve modes. At this point it might be right for 343 to consider putting the Xbox 360 servers back online for matchmaking. I would even recommend this to 343 if MCC had a decent amount of players. Halo 3 on Xbox 360 for example, played way better than MCC H3 and that says a lot because you can only play 30 fps on 360 lmao.

I’m a Kiwi player, anyone particularly Aussies and Kiwis feel free to add me.

I feel your pain as an EU player myself. 130+ ping times on Southern US/Central US, 16ms to the Northern Europe one, sadly if you restrict the region you’re gonna sit for an hour or so.
