Since Halo 5’s launch iv struggled to find games in Arena searching alone or with a squad. I know its not a population problem because I can make a 2nd account and find games almost instantly. Iv been told its a problem with the hidden skill or rank 343 has implemented into H5, where high skilled players cant find anything. (im not talking about visible ranks) THIS NEEDS TO BE FIXED OR REMOVED. Alternatively, removing region lock and letting us play against players from the US/UK would also help the problem.
343 please fix Halo 5 matchmaking for Aus/Nz. You cant expect pro players and hardcore fans to stick around and play if we cant even get a game in matchmaking.

Same here, i’m from India. I found matches after 5PM since the last four days. Now even that doesn’t work. No games in any of the playlists. Here is the reply from 343 regarding this though.

The region lock is a disaster. I also like to match a mixture of player from all around the world and have some variety as was before than playing my European counterparts to exhaustion.

Bro, i completely understand your point.
I’m italian, i’m facing your same issues since early february and it’ very frustrating and infuriating.
But i think that revert the situation simply “opening the flood gates” isn’t the best solution: they made this in order to limit high latency games but using too much brutality.
In my opinion they have to EVOLVE the matchmaking system, making it able to start the search for regional matches in the first place and then, if no one is available in your zone after a reasonable amount of time, WIDEN THE RANGE PROGRESSIVELY until a game can be found.
It’s the perfect compromise and it’s totally possible because bunch of games out there already use it (or something very similar).
**What i really cannot understand is how qualified developers, as 343’s are supposed to be, couldn’t manage to elaborate an idea line this since the beginning instead of build up this atrocious solution.**If they don’t do something very quickly they’ll lose everyone outside US, and i’m afraid it will be forever.
I think all of these problems cold be solved if we could all play together no just in our region. For example I may not speak Japanese but hey if that’s the only players on at that time of night the match is up and let’s play

Sorry bro but that cannot be a real solution. Maybe can be a temporary hack, a way to override this fuc*ing Region Lock for now, nothing more than this.
They should at least add an option to search worldwide.
Agreed. Aus here. I could not find a match in Slayer last night at 9pm. Which IS ridiculous! Next month I won’t even be able to play Warzone if this keeps up. I have ZERO problems matching US players; I survived Halo 3, Halo Reach and many other games (including Crysis 2) just fine with 200ms+ ping. The fast MM times was part of what kept me interested in those games. It was even mentioned by Bravo in the reddit post above that many players stop searching after 30 seconds.
Another Aussie here, all up in total i think i have found only 2 FFA games since launch hence never found enough games to even get a rank in 4 seasons. Does nobody search this playlist or what? Now even Breakout seems to be heading the same way.

Having this same issue since the recent update which dropped a few weeks ago. Only found 2 FFA matches after a couple mins where it only took like 45 sec. I think they went hard on that region lock.
