Just loaded up the Beta for the first time, and I can’t find any players in matchmaking?! I don’t see any other topics about this, so it must not be a huge problem, but has this happened to anyone else? I’m getting MCC deja vu
Been searching for about 15 minutes and have yet to get into a game…
“UNABLE TO MATCH: There may not be enough players to support a game in this playlist. Please try a different playlist”
This is the message I just got…sigh
I posted earlier today about it…I get the same thing 100% of the time. Unable to Match pops up after 5mins of searching for players
yes this is happening to me. i am so frustrated by this. i am using charter internet.
i can only get matches by using the wifi hotspot on my phone. anyone have any idea why???
just did a hard restart of my Xbox and I’m now finding players! Hope this helps to ppl with the problem
i have done the hard reset. every version of it i can, i have redownloaded the game 3 times, reset my moden and router. still the issue persists.
I’m in the same boat as you LightspeedFlash…I’ve done everything. Uninstalled everything (took 22hrs to redownload everything). And no change.
I don’t have hot spot capability…but hmmm got me thinkin
halo is the only game that i have the dam console for. if i cant play it, i will just sell it and get a better card more my PC. so disappointed by everything that #$# has done. disappointed and frustrated. ’
i just want to play halo. couldn’t even do that with the MCC in the first 2 months of the release.

You’re stupid if your tried redownloading 3 times 10 -Yoinking!- gb, i’m literally playing with 2mb download internet with moderate NAT, at first i had the screen flashing thing that pushed me back to the menu and didn’t permit me to play, so i just unplugged the box and turned it back on, was forced to reenter my network password, and now i don’t get the flashing anymore and can find full marches in a few seconds
what is stupid is that you have only 2MB dl speeds. i am sitting with 60 Mb and it takes like 20 minutes to DL the whole beta, all 10gb. so get off the walmart connection bro.
but you comment is not all junk. i have not tried unplugging the XO. i with give that go. thanks.

This problem is quite common actually. Just not many people post it three way it should be posted. I get this quite often and there’s something wrong with the matchmaking queue.
just tried unplugging the box. did not help. so dumb that i have to use my phone to play the game.
Found a hotspot app and gave it a whirl…success. Able to play my first match!
Now to figure out what is blocking matchmaking within the network…I’m on Comcast with an Arris TG862 modem in bridge mode and a linksys WRT610N router with a cat 6 connection to Xbox.
LightspeedFlash: anything in common with above equipment?
no. i am using Charter with an E3000 linksys. tried botht the wireless and the wired. nothing. next step is a direct connection.
WRT610N v2 and e3000 are the same from what I’m reading…I’ll try direct connect tomorrow as well…Might be time for a new router…
my god if it is that easy, i do have an old wrt54g router that i will try next, can’t right now, roommates using the internet right now.
Hard reset didn’t work for anyone else? (holding down the power button for 5-6 seconds)
I downloaded the beta and went right into playing and couldn’t find a damn thing for 15-20 minutes…hard restarted my Xbox and kept it off for about 5 minutes, started it back up, relaunched the beta (didn’t have to redownload it) and instantly began finding matches right away
well i will be a son of -Yoink-, the router was the problem, i tried straight into the modem first then i used the wrt54g, it worked both ways.
so if you cant get into matchmaking try changing your router, if you have the WRT610N v2 and e3000,
confirmed on my end as well…replacing router fixed the issue.
I tried multiple settings(DMZ, port forwarding, etc…) on the router to ensure it wasn’t a configurable thing.
Figured I’d chime in here and report the same issue/resolution. I’ve got a wrt610n v2 and I couldn’t find a match until I plugged my xbox directly into my modem. Weird.
