You could try hard-resetting your Xbox One (by holding down the power button for 10+ seconds) or try restarting your modem, then re-connect your One to your Wi-Fi or Ethernet. If all else fails, try re-installing the MCC.
Like admiral said and also make sure you are not updating/downloading a game while you are searching for games. I had an issue with this earlier in the week. Unsure what the software complication was.

What was your rep at? Your rep goes across all games, so if it falls in the red the exact thing your saying happens.
