Hi,
I’ve been trying to download the Master Chief Collection for several days now through Game Pass. Mostly I tried to use the Microsoft Store, but I’ve tried the Xbox (Beta) App many times as well. I’ve tried 30+ times now to start the downloading process and every time I get an error from the very start which says “Something unexpected happened” or that there is a connection problem. The reason I’m here and not at MS Support (though I’ve asked for help there too) is because it only happens with the Master Chief Collection. I can download other games and apps just fine. This makes me think that the problem is unique to this collection.
- I’ve checked for updates - I’ve used wsreset many times - I’ve synced time and date of my computer - I’ve reset the store through the windows options - I’ve troubleshooted the Microsoft Store - I’ve reinstalled the Xbox (Beta App) - I’ve deleted several folders that are related to the store - I’ve run all sorts of commands that were suggested to fix this problem - I’ve logged out and in to the store
- I’ve reset network settings - I’ve detached my online account from my Windows user account - I’ve constantly reset my computerThere’s probably more things I’ve tried that I can’t recall right now.
Interestingly, whenever I download other games, I get asked where I want to store it. When I try to download the MCC collection, there’s no such question and it immediately tries to download and fail. This could be related to the issue.
