So before the December 16th update, xbox series x players could bypass the limit where we were forced to choose one or the other- 120 fps or increase fov- by changing the TV settings to 60 fps, increasing the field of view, then closing the app, going back to 120 fps in the TV settings, and opening the app again.
Now after today’s update, they changed it so we could no longer do this. If this was intentional, it was absolutely ridiculous. It worked PERFECTLY FINE with these settings, no hiccups, no frame drops, nothing on my end. So 343 basically took something away from series x players for no good reason. Literally, it was what made me come back to MCC, and they just removed it. Why take away things that make players happy? Now I have to decide between claustrophobic h3 field of view or choppy frame rates? I dont understand…
Yeah this is absolutely ridiculous. How in hell does this change benefit absolutely anyone? To add insult to injury, they didn’t even mention it in the patch notes.

Yea what’s funny is, how would you word that in the patch notes? You can’t even say it without it sounding ridiculous “we removed the option for series x players to do 120 fps and field of view changes” when nobody had any issues. Im so curious to how they would answer that question. Just because?
I have the same question as to why they would remove it, mine worked fine as well
Yeah it’s absolutely ridiculous, I almost don’t even want to play the game anymore having to choose between the two
