Cant Create or Join Fireteam in Halo 5 Guardians

My friends and I cant seem to join or create a fireteam, we have been trying for the past 45 min and have tried everything from rebooting the console to rebooting the game. Nothing appears to be working.

Also when we try to join each other it just hangs on connecting to lobby is there an estimation as to when this problem is going to be fixed? It just started happening today.

I have also been having this issue for over 30 mins. Game invites sent from within the halo menus as well from the Xbox guide don’t work.

Looks like this has to do with Xbox and not specifically Halo. See here: Xbox Support

Issue seems to be resolved now all is good.

I was able to get into one game and now it is saying that there is a problem with the halo 5 guardians servers and I am unable to get into any fireteams or arena games.

My brother and I are currently having this issue. We can play games, but can’t join each other on a fireteam. I’ve tried joining others as well and cannot join them either.

There are a couple of forum topics in the main halo5 forum area discussing the same issue. Seems to be affecting a lot of people.

Issue is back. Cant join unless i do some crazy stuff like invite and start a game back out and magically i am in the fireteam i was supposed to be in. This is stupid and annoying and 343 should give a statement.

With this issue reoccurring, 343 probably hasn’t given a statement because they don’t know what the problem is, which is even worse.

Even if they dont know what the problem is they should still make a statement saying they are looking into the issue and that they are aware of the issue. I bought halo to play with my buddies not sit in the main menu trying to join each other.

You just hit X on controller and join a friend in Halo 5.
