Cant continue my campaign progress?

Does anyone know why I’m unable to continue my campaign progress? I hit continue but after the initial countdown it does nothing as if I never clicked it in the first place.
Even does it on new saves if I leave and go back to the menu.

VERY agitated by this since I’m kinda unable to play campaign unless I do it in one sitting. Plus I had already put a few hours into the campaign so I’d hate for it to be wasted.

Any workarounds? I’m on PC playing thru the Xbox app

Try clearing your cache and doing a hard reset of the console

Sorry, I forgot to mention I’m currently on PC. Playing it thru the Xbox app.

Ugh, I really hope it doesn’t cost me anymore. Is it only happening to PC players or across the board?

I think it’s happening to Xbox as well from what I’ve seen ,but your better off looking for youself at the waypoint forums, my short term memory sucks.

Gotcha, thanks for the heads up. I wasn’t sure if it was an issue just happening to PC players or not. Hopefully they fix this issue before the holidays.

From what I’ve read, it seems to be PC players playing through the Xbox app. I’m in the same boat.

xbox users are also reporting it. i believe its specifically an issue with gamepass since steam users are not getting these issues

Ended up buying it Steam and have zero issues with loading my save points. Exited the game numerous times and loaded my checkpoints without a problem. It’s definitely something with xbox and where it stores the save data.

yea its a gamepass issue. real shame since microsoft was pushing gamepass sales with the incentive that halo infinite’s campaign would be day 1 access

opened a ticket for this yesterday, only response i got was

make sure you complete the first mission

I laughed and responded with, ive beaten the first boss 5 times and reach the first outpost 5 times… Havent heard from him since (its been over 24 hours since communication broke down on my ticket)

Yeah, I feel letdown with gamepass, they advertised the subscription with Infinite for months. The main reason I subscribed again was to play Halo Infinite campaign, but you can’t really do that at the moment. I was willing to deal with the horrible Xbox PC app–constantly having to quit gaming services in task manager in order for games to launch–but this experience with Infinite was it for me.

i feel ya. i dont even really blame infinite’s campaign on this issue because if it works for steam its clearly not an issue with the game. Wish microsoft could figure their crap since its their developing company making the game to put on their gaming service. seems like thats something that should of been tested maybe

Seriously, Microsoft needs to get their act together. The Xbox PC app is frustrating to use, and their biggest game launch of the year can’t properly save progress, it’s embarrassing! The cynic in me thinks this couldn’t possibly have been overlooked, maybe Microsoft wants players to end up buying the full-price game on Steam. I ended up shelling $60 because I’m a big fan and really want to play the campaign.

i doubt that because they are pushing gamepass subscriptions hard and used Infinite being on the pass day 1 as a big selling point

Thanks for the heads up everyone. Sorry for the delayed response since I’ve been outta town.
Looks like I’ll be dropping gamepass and the xbox app and moving to Steam permanently.

Hope you all enjoy the campaign as I’ll be starting it tomorrow. . . . for the 8th time.

I can’t even start the campaign saves I have…

I’m on PC and it’s making me start completely over…like not a little couple checkpoints…BUT COMPLETELY START OVER.

Is there any resolution to this?

I’m using xbox gamepass, and cannot continue the game.
