Whenever I load up the game to play it says “profile sync error” and "Error authorizing user with halo 5 services. You will be unable to access online modes. I’ve tried restarting my wifi and xbox but neither worked. It’s been like this for about 3 - 4 hours now. It’s really annoying especially since I just got the game the other day.

One thing you could try is a hard reset. Press and hold the button on the front of your xbox until it completely shuts off. This clears the system cache and helps with a lot of issues. I can’t guarantee it will work in this case, but it’s worth an attempt.
