Can't connect to multiplayer

Been playing MCC PC for three days now and today I can’t connect to multiplayer.
Couldn’t really find any information on the web about this connection failure.
When clicking “Social Games” or “Competitive Games”

I get the message “Contacting server. Connecting to transport server. Please wait.”

And it just gets stuck there.
Are the servers down? What’s the issue?

Update. Also can’t join other players for custom games or forge or whatever. “Accept invite” → nothing happens
