Can't Connect to Halo 5: Guardians Lobby Service

After the new Xbox One update, whenever I load up Halo 5 it always shows the message “Unable to connect to the Halo 5: Guardians Lobby Service” and doesn’t allow me to play multiplayer. Also, it completely erased all my customization options and put me back at Spartan Rank 1. Does anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it?

Im having the same issue. I contacted Xbox support. They had no solution to offer me. The game keeps kicking me out also.

It says on mine "your fire team is not suitable for this server even though it’s just my account in my fire team and I haven’t been banned. I fixed this last week by talking to someone in waypoint but it stopped working again.

3 hours later and I’ve been experiencing the kicking issue for almost 2 days now…

Guys, I found out, what caused the problem. Due to the fact, that IPv4 won’t be supported for too long, from now, internet companies are updating your Modem to IPv6. Just give your Provider a call and kindly ask them to switch back to IPv4. Took him about 4clicks…Quite ridiculous, that some XBox services aren’t compatible with current IP systems…Hope it worked for you guys, for me it did!

No it didn’t work, nehos. I checked my ip and it still is an IPv4. Tell me halo, why is this stupid fault here anyway…? Many people waiting for a solution you know!

The only time I seem to be able to play the game is at the night this is getting ridiculous now I haven’t had the game for long either

the problem isnt ISP changing to IPv6 my friend and i have the same ISP and he never has issues but i do. my solution i have found to work recently is resetting the alternate mac address on the system. doing this allowed me access to the halo servers again and in to games

how exactly do I do this on the NXOE?

unplug and replug your xbox physically. The low power mode must be stopping a full connection reset. worked for me after 5 days of same problem

It’s your nat type try unpluging your router and modem? I remember this happening in halo 3 you gotta change your nat type to modrate every now and then it restricts your Xbox one I hope this works it worked for me

Look up on you tube on how to set Xbox one nat type to open if not the problem will keep happening your nat ripe is strict that’s why you have problems with match making

I haven’t been able to connect to Halo 5 lobby service for the past couple days. It always says “Retrieving Data” when I’m trying to get my Req packs. Can someone please help me?

It won’t let me access anything halo 5, it works just fine on all my other games, but not halo 5, it either can’t sync my profile, or when it does sync it, it doesn’t let me connect to the lobby, or it says my fire team has changed.(when I’m not even in a fireteam) but my actual internet is fine, 60mb

Perhaps I wasnt having the same issue as you guys, but I just put my xbox on ‘offline’, restarted and but it back online. That fixed it for me

It is easily fixed if you are a member of sky, you may have sky shield as part of your package the solution is easy all you have to do is turn your shield of and halo should be working again, it worked for me
