For the last 14 Hours I’ve been greeted with this message inside Infinity ( So for War games and Spartan Ops )
" The Halo 4 servers are not available. Please try again later. Matchmaking has switched to using the default playlist. "
Thing is there are people playing in these " Default Playlists " and it’s OKAY but I don’t get the same amount of XP as I do online and the queuing for a match is ridiculous.
I’ve reset my router 10+ times in the last 14 hours and I Played FIFA 13 and BF3 just fine. I checked other forums and it said " wait it out " or " Reset router " which I’ve done both of in excess.
There is no way of contacting 343 directly and if I want a minuscule chance of any help from them I have to wait on here or the 343 forums.
£40 of a game I Initially enjoyed wasted.
This isn’t rage. This is bitter disappointment at 343’s community team.
As a World of Warcraft and Diablo Enthusiast as well I get to see Blizzards Employees constantly keep in contact with their players and that’s 5 x bigger than Halo’s.
So I suggest to you 343, that you get your community team bigger and better at listening to us. Because you were right up on my list of best games ever and in 16 hours you’ve slumped to the near bottom. All thanks to your lack of community support.
I’m having the same issue. I’ve been trying to get it to work all day. When I do get a match it caps at 1190 xp which is the max for a custom game. I tried getting on another xbox and it worked fine but I’m not able to use that one.
I am also having the same issue myself and it is really really frustrating to not be able to play with friends. I hope 343 will make a fix for this real soon. This has happened to many other people I know.
Same issue here. I actually was playing earlier today, but this evening I’ve had no success. So frustrating because my friends have signed on, played together. Signed off. Came back. Played together again. And yet nothing I do lets me join them. I’ve reset my router. Reconfigured my port forwarding. Nothing seems to work. I guess all I can do is wait it out.
I researched this, for I am also having the same problem, but it seems that 343 is having a problem with the server and it can not handle all the players that are trying to access the game.
I believe they are working on this now and that is why it is down.
Just happened to me as well… right around the time the Daily challenges reset. Its annoying because I was playing with my cousin and he got disconnected from our game (game went to Black Screen). I finished the match and afterwards it says the servers are done. He was still able to play 2-3 matches before he got the server issue.
