I’ve spent the last couple days trying to figure out why I can’t connect anyone. I’ve tried accepting invites from friends, joining sessions, hopping in open lobbies. I can’t get connected at all. I understand my NAT is moderate, but I mean, I’ve had it for ages and could still connect before, this has only happened these last few days (I can still connect to live parties no problem, it’s just halo). Also when I go to matchmaking it tells me the servers aren’t available, yet my husband (who is 3 feet away on his tv/xbox and on the same connection) can play just fine, no connection issues or server issues. I haven’t seen any other posts with the same problem so maybe someone could help me out? Cheers.
It can happen. Best bet is to open the ports needed for Live on your router. It will almost guaranteed give you both Open NAT and greatly improve your online experience.
Edit: I’ll somewhat help you out.
Log into your Router settings via an Internet browser window. Your default Router address is 192.168.x.1. Replace x with a 0. If it doesn’t work, change it to a 1. If that doesn’t work, then try a 2. It’s one of those 3. Default username is blank if asked. Rarely does it use admin as the username. Default password is either admin or password.
Once you get in, look for something similar to “Routing”, “Port Forwarding” or such. There may be an “Advanced” tab in your router for this.
Put in these ports to forward:
53: TCP and UDP
80: TCP and UDP
1863: TCP and UDP
3074: TCP and UDP
Most times there’s a setting for “both” so you don’t have to do the same value twice.
If you’re still experiencing a connection issue, you may want to reach out to Xbox Live Support.
I’m having the same problem, but only with the MCC. I can connect to my friends in a party and play any other game we have tried, but Halo MCC won’t connect us together into a game session. We all have Open NAT and everything reads as great in all tests. In the party app it will sometimes read as one or two in the game session, but when we look in the game menu at our game session we are all separate. Any thoughts? Or should we just give up on this game and go back to the 360?
OMG OMG OMG OMG MEEEEE TOOOOO!!! Finally!!
Ok I have opened all ports. NAT is low, I would turn it off if the Xbox was the only thing on it. Xbox live support sent me here. They say it be a 343 issue. HELP US!!!
Check out my thread for the things that I have tried.
