My Xbox can’t read discs and I need to get it repaired. So for now online is the only way I can get games.
Place the disc in your 360, go to home, go to “My Games”, press the X button on Halo Reach, then select the “download” option. Form there, cancel the download on your 360. Then switch to your Xbox One, and it should be there in “My Games And Apps” under “Ready To Install”. If not, try reseting your console.

I haven’t previously owned the game and don’t have a 360.Is it still possible to get it from Xbox one store?
Can anyone confirm if you can purchase off the 360 store via computer and then download it on the One?

You can buy the game from the Xbox 360 store, once you do it will show up as installable under your Xbox One. You can’t buy it form the X1 store, but I think MS is working on something for that

They’re supposed to be adding a Xbox 360 Backwards Compatibility Store next year for games on Xbox One. Other than that, it seems like you might just have to get the disc.

Go to xbox.com on your pc or phone and type in Halo Reach and under xbox 360 click the game and buy it and then on your xbox one console go to the dashboard and under My Apps and Games it will show up to the right as available for download.
