I could have told ya the game was being overhyped, and it was released early as an unfinished mess. Even during the flights, the gameplay felt like H5 with lot of UI problems and annoying gimmicks, which essentially became the foundation for the game, so…

Every Halo has been overhyped, beginning with Halo 2, which was a broken mess with several flaws in MM and playlists. (as with Infinite, the BR saved the game). With Halo 3, less broken but still several issues in MM and playlists - MLG and Grifball kept it interesting.

Regardless, as I mentioned, I do think the BR saved Infinite, cause it’s holding my interest… for now. But, like with so many problems with this game, I hope it holds the population, though F2P typically has high turnover rates.

Playing Halo dress up is what makes Halo, Halo! It’s not the crisp, gunplay that they nailed this time around (barring a few quirks that need patching) nooo.

for them it is not for us

Have you played MCC recently? It’s much better than the OG games, 60 fps, decent matchmade times, and even some entirely new features like CE Fiesta.

This is true but you could also say that it’s a minority bashing the game as well.

I’m actually working through the achievements I have about 4000 but I haven’t been on since the infinite campaign has been out.

I debate on the matchmaking times if I’m searching certain modes or certain games it takes a while like if you leave it open to all of them yeah it’s quick but for the nitty gritty that’s a bit less quick

Yes I have and it’s beautiful.

But when the game originally launched it was such a disappointment and they pretty much abandoned it until halo 5 was released. And then halo 5 failed.

Then 343I went back to Halo MCC roughly a few years later to try and salvage what they could. And it worked.

Then they repeated halo 5s with infinites mistakes with microtransactions but worse.

Honestly I have a sneaking suspicion 343 KNEW Infinite was gonna flop like this, and are just gonna use MCC as a safety net. Think about it, new game builds hype, flops, community bails, MCC starts getting updates, community returns and gets suckered by the next game.

Honestly at this point 343 should just stop making new games, and just keep working on MCC. People almost universally LIKE MCC, which is near unheard of for Halo, or at the very least the MCC team should be free to work on MCC alongside Infinite, build up SOME good will with the community, just in case an update or two in Infinite flops like it’s launch.

This could of literally been the best halo ever but they chose to use it as a money maker. That’s the only reason why I hate the game at the moment.

Makes sence though MCC is near unbeatable now.

Yes but also no. MCC is split into pockets. People who like some games but not others, people who only play customs etc

Also the CGB is still pretty clunky

Don’t worry, it’s just a beta. All of that will be fixed when the full game is out in 10 years. Everyone just needs to be patient. 343 is a small indie dev team. They don’t have a lot of staff or money. It would be nice if they had a partnership with a big company like Microsoft, who could help them with these issues.

Don’t even try it here.

People stuck in the past and care more about customization as gameplay.

343/M $ wanted it to be a “”""“free”"""" to play treadmill for cosmetics because that makes a lot more money than developing and shipping a finished game for $60 that isn’t monetized.

Yeah, I keep trying to explain this in clear and simple terms and I keep being flabbergasted by people who refuse to understand.

I’ve even been told that “the cost of Xbox Live doesn’t count” toward the cost of past Halo games. Which is ridiculous. Without paying that cost, half of the game was unavailable to you. We don’t have that issue anymore.

The game was never made “for you”. All products are an investment with an expected return on value. That wasn’t any different because of the $60 + XBL subscription model. In fact, with the F2P model, Microsoft is now getting less financial return from the average player. And the cost to the average player to play the game is significantly lowered.

The campaign was not bad in my opinion. I enjoyed the open world system they implemented and I can see the campaign easily improved with DLC, which I am hoping will be free. The multiplayer on the other hand… needs a lot of improvement sooner than later. Most of their player base will die before season 2 if they do not implement a lot of updates to the game like a reported system for cheaters, a social progression system in addition to the battle pass or event pass, and bug fixes that are obvious including hit registrations.

I have also noticed this, I wonder why that is. Absolutely no idea why that is.
