Can't believe we was hyped for this game

Sure…though for me the default armour that I always want is classic MC style armour and this is the 1st time 343i have blocked access to this and I’ve been doing this since Halo 1. 20 years of doing that and now I’m being told I’m not allowed to due it being behind a 2nd paywall.

Well technically the default armour is Mark VII which is what I’m using but yeah annoying if you want Mark V for sure as you have to pay.

Feel like they could appease a lot of players by doing a basic colour palette wheel like the old games then still selling the armour coatings. Let’s face it for most people the armour coatings look way better anyway. Now I’ve seen more I’m confident giving a basic option like the old games would barely touch the sales. People will still want the more flashy cool stuff.

Look, to be fair a lot of people saw this mess coming a mile away. Fact of the matter is the game had just as much time as previous Halo titles, if not more, and we were presented with a title roughly 60% done if that. The campaign isn’t anywhere near a $60 title and the multiplayer is objectively broken in more than a few ways. Thankfully, I had basically no hope or expectations for Infinite so I wasn’t burned with what we got. Sucks that a franchise I used to adore is in the state it is, but that’s how the industry works I suppose.

those who were greedy to not bother paying for the actually good games, and wanted a entirely free experience. not a single darn soul asked for it to be f2p, not a majority

preferably the former. ya know, LIKE GAMES OF OLD. a full 60 for a FULLY COMPLETE GAME AT LAUNCH, player expression, fun gameplay, decent campaign, and all the modes and side modes.
but nooo… we just HAVE to accept this excuse of a shop. lacking multiplayer, lacking expression (behind a paywall) AND having to pay for the campaign that offers LESS THAN BEFORE
Reach for 60 offered a decent campaign, decent multiplayer, decent progression, tons of modes, forge and theater, devs favorites, file sharing, a functional custom games, and a excelent customization menu with tons to offer through playing le sodding game, an incentive to play
Infinite offers (for the 60 price) a good campaign, okay multiplayer, no ACTUAL progression, lack of modes, no forge, no theater, no file sharing, half working customs, terrible servers, and customization that is so lacking to those who payed 60 bucks, even the free stuff in the BP and weeklies are so not worth. the events are the only thing having me personaly return. 1 game a week. it doesn’t feel like i’m wanting to play, it feels like i have to play since there’s no other reason to play

‘then don’t play the game’ fine, i’l play the better halo games then :3

I was interested in Infinite, but not hyped. And I’m glad I wasn’t.

MCC is always here for us.

the game did make a comeback with a good playerbase

Wait I’m supposed to be getting paid?

Sounds like you have some internet issues. I have yet to see lag. Only have matchmaking issues with BTB.

I would have rather paid 30 bucks than maybe another when forge comes out or maybe just 30 bucks for what I would consider half the game. Being semi Open world isn’t enough to justify it being full retail price.

Maybe if it had firefight desk or another PVE mode that let you use your multiplayer Spartan and a clear roadmap of what’s coming post campaign maybe maybe 60 bucks, ots a good game but not 60 bucks worth, I mean I have Gamepass but thank God for that cus so far I’m not dropping 60 bucks for a game missing most of it’s content. I mean it’s forge Fortnite could have completed more content by launch how are they having trouble with Forge…

All that means is if Forge is not extremely mind blowing than yea it wasn’t wroth the 60 bucks…delay the game for a year and delay a feature for half a yr or more just to not deliver is gonna really be a bad look

Also of you had to go out of town and away from the Xbox to spend family time, and your not at ra k 4 in the winter contingency by now. Your not going to unlock everything. I was gone for a few days and it still one item unlocked a day. Yay.

I was hype for it, too.

Now, I just feel pretty indifferent.

Basically trolls pushing their opinion as “fact” not paying attention at all on how it makes them look really foolish.

 Don’t be so dramatic.

Yeah, its like Halo Wars 2. Really minimalist campaign, but it has the old style, and some old characters, so instantly good right?

Honestly I didn’t have too high hopes of this game. The multiplayer being oddly took drew me in, but the campaign is honestly pretty bad. Should have been 10 bucks.

Thankfully, I was never hyped for this game. Saw through the BS straight away once they announced F2P. The multiplayer is about as good as halo 4 or H2A, IMO not worth loading up. But what I wasn’t expecting was for 343 to outright attempt to extort money out of loyal Halo players, even worse than other F2P games where I have friends that have spent 1000s on skins (fortnite).

The worst part is, the game has the formula to be amazing, I imagine the custom games within the next year are going to be incredible. With the only issue being the player base will be ridiculously low by that time.

The campaign on the other hand is amazing and a saving grace for the Halo universe.

People got hyped af for 4/5 too, the difference here is that Infinite will eventually live up to expectations. Every single issue can be resolved in 1 year (assuming 343i actually try that is)

I was hyped and I’d say my hype was mostly fulfilled. Campaign was solid and a good return to classic Covenant enemy from the Bungie days and moved away from the Prometheans that, while I didn’t hate them in 4 & 5, were more dull opponents. Multiplayer is lacking in content, as has been the disappointing case with 343’s previous games as well. However the content that is here is very good and the lack of content is something that can be corrected over the next several months, just like it was for both 4 & 5. Yes, it is ridiculous that 343 has made that mistake again but it’s not a fatal mistake. Overall I’m quite pleased with the game and think in a year’s time when missing legacy gamemodes and new maps have been added we’ll be looking at a fantastic experience.
