Can't believe we was hyped for this game

The pay wall. The constant lag. No matches loading.

I genuinely thought that halo was going to make it’s big comeback after the failed launch of the MCC and halo 5.

So far I spent £55 on half a game. yes I’m well aware of the free multiplayer but who asked for that?

Wouldn’t you rather have bought the full game and actually had access to it all or would you rather buy a full games worth and experience half of it and then spend 3 times the amount you paid for the campaign in its first 2 months on multiplayer since launch

I asked for it

I’m happy to have paid £60 for the campaign only. It’s a good campaign and I’ve enjoyed it a lot. I’m pleased to have the steelbook edition to join my other steelbook Halo games.

I’d go as far as to say it’s probably my favourite Halo campaign so yeah I’m completely okay with it.

Multiplayer needs a lot of work still. But I’m happy to keep with it, I just hope the population is strong when it’s in a better position.

Before anyone gets angry and responds to the posts defending Infinite: Memorize their pic and name. You’ll find that there are maybe a half dozen accounts that are responsible for 90% of “the game is fine!” comments.

The game would have released in the same state regardless of if it released as a paid game alongside the campaign or f2p. The game being free has nothing to do with it lacking content. Live service games infamously launch with very little content and usually in a broken state. Look at battlefield. A full priced game, released with 3 maps, and a handful of weapons, in an almost unplayable state.

I can’t believe the horrible grammer of the title or that so many people shill for this game, is it decent? Yes. is it good? No. Does it have problems? Yes a bunch for a 'full release, and that’s not even considering the campaign, which i haven’t bought. Also I wasn’t very hyped for this game, esepcially after 4 and 5. so stop saying I was hyped for it, because I wasn’t

Halo to me has always been campaign first and multiplayer second, so to me I’m happy the campaign was a blast to play and that alone I would spend money on. I played with gamepass so I haven’t bought it, but I’m not sure if I’d spend full price on it as where I live full priced games after taxes are $90 but I’d be willing to spend money on it just for the fact at least with campaign 343 finally listened to what fans wanted out of a Halo campaign and it was really good (I liked Halo 4’s campaign but I do understand some of the critisicms).

MP on the other hand is such a blatant cash grab that you won’t catch me giving them a penny until they’ve fixed the issues with the game like the store, and even then I’m not sure I would (The $20 bundles are almost $30 for me). It really saddens me because the game is fun to play and has so much potential, but the mp honestly has put such a bad taste in my mouth with all the corporate bs and predatory practices in it, that for the most part I’ve kind of stopped playing especially since my go to mode btb hasn’t been working for what like 3 weeks now and I just haven’t been having fun at all anymore.

Would rather have free to play.
Please stop blaming it for halo’s mistakes…
You just named MCC…which wasn’t free and Halo 5…which wasn’t free.
you mentioned they both left Halo needing a comeback…so
the free to play could not possibly be the issue.
thanks

They got us with the better graphical update after last year’s disgrace. So return to form art style + better graphics = hook, lined and suckered.

Yes, I would’ve rather paid for a full game and got more, but you need to think before you purchase things.

Releasing a broken half baked game and finishing it as a “live service” has been found to be a more profitable business model wether we like it or not. The only way this nonsense stops is when people stop throwing money at the store like braindead retards but we all know that’s not gonna happen. So is the state of modern gaming.

I’m about at my wits end. I’m Onix in ranked already done with the battle pass and with the cheaters and Poor connection and servers. I keep trying to hold out hope maybe something ‘ be really cool in the shop and I can buy it and feel good and play the game but no this sh after sh after sh. The disappointment‘s been building up I’m just not gonna play anymore until they have a major update keep in mind it’s still been two months since we’ve even had an update the last update we really got was for an able have lan. This game has obeen out for two months not a dang thing has been fixed.

I was a little hyped until I found out that MP was going to be f2p, and at that very moment is when reality set in on how screwed up this game was actually going to be. So far 343/Microsoft proved what I expected this game to be, a less than a half-backed game with “promises”. I got to give props to upper management for knowing how to fool a good portion of the player base using that psychological analyst to their fullest potential. Man, that person must get paid well.

I’ve been reading over this forum for the last 3 weeks and it amazes me how so many will settle for less and lie to themselves saying that is “better”, and that is just sad…

I agree with what you’re saying but it makes it far harder for me to support the message when you word it like that.

Know what you mean.
I still remember being hyped with Halo 4 and was let down then came out with MCC and thought cool.
Halo 5 came out and thought they would learn from their mistakes but they didn’t so was angry for a while.

Then they teased Halo Infinite to give people hope and after playing the game I felt like they learnt nothing and I’m not as angry anymore but more disappointed in 343i and tired but still annoyed. Just more lost faith in the Halo IP and I’ve lost a lot of trust/faith in 343i.

And yeh I would have rather paid for a full game instead of what we got instead. They should have continued to delay the game and I doubt they will make any major changes anytime soon. F2P was the worst thing 343i could have done.

Fair. But I have nothing but contempt for people who can’t see this business model for what it is and then on top of that support it with theirs or their mothers wallets. It’s their fault we are playing a half baked halo game that spent 6 years in the oven lol

I like the model but only because I’m not paying and reaping the benefits lol. It helps I usually default skin in games anyway so idc what they’ve monetised personally.

Get why people are frustrated though.
