Can't believe Isabel is this UP...

I just had 14 games with Isabel…wanted to see why I never get matched up against her, and really wanted to see if I could kick -Yoink- with an under used leader. I lost 12 of those 14 games…I believe I played to her strengths but I mostly got match with with the fire breathing -Yoink- lol

As she only has one offensive power the mac and no drops I just couldn’t compete…even with accelerated assembly I would get to their base and I would get infernoed/air striked…dropped on and turret placement for good measure…it is so hard to dodge inferno with a large group of vechices and you can forget Kodiak’s unless you want to place each one in the heat of battle as they just get infernoed. Her powers to little to stem the offensive power of her competition.

Scorpions you can’t use…her top power does nothing great apart from take over units for only 2 seconds. These were just hopeless games against good kinsero players…the 2 I won where more out of inexperienced players then skill.

I hope the patch fixes her…

They said they intended to fix her up a little bit in the news article last week, not sure what the plan is though. The patch notes indicate her tanks will operate correctly, and the vehicle global upgrade will now help tanks, so those two things should help her units. As for the lack of drops, lack of offensive powers, and getting blasted because vehicles are slow… those don’t look like they are getting fixed. Not really sure what to do with her. I love the MAC blast, but she just cant compete late game right now.

I think a buff to the Mac blast would help, maybe a shorter cool down so she actually had offensive capabilities. Make vehicle production even faster and cheaper. Right now, eradication, inferno, close air support are supreme for leader powers. I hardly ever see anyone playing as Isabel and Decimus.

And then when you finally do see a Decimus, they go Locusts and use his passives and Fury to melt bases…:expressionless::expressionless:

MAC is fine, that doesn’t need buffing. It’s like a balanced inferno - very very difficult to dodge in time, but requires more leader point investment for the same damage.

Ghost in the Machine needs to last A LOT longer. Like… at least double, maybe triple. It’s her ultimate power -Yoink!-. Needs to be far better.

I’d make holographic decoy at each level cheaper, have a larger AoE, spawn more clones and have the clones last forever.

Scorpions will be really legit next patch as Isabel. They are already -okay- for tanking damage from infantry spams. They annihilate grunt/marine spam. However, next patch they get a new ability in a functioning usable canister shell which will make them even better at killing cyclops/hunters and other infantry spam. AND they will now be buffed by all the vehicle upgrades, so 30% more damage and hp in the late-game AND ‘the best offense’ gives them even more max HP and a shield… Plus they are cheaper and build faster? Yeah. I think isabel’s Scorpions will be a pain in the -Yoink- to deal with. Canny and the shields making them really easily deal with AV-infantry and then just combine them with 30-40% of your pop being wolverines and now air can’t do anything either. Back to the days of HW1!

They get vultures? Ghost in the machine and waste their hunter killer missles on each other!

I think Ghosts in the machine is the biggest problem with her. It needs to be so much better.

Bro. When you get leader abilitied’ get out. I understand it’s hard to avoid initially but you rent stuck in place, well, unless your army is a bunch of scorps that just used canisters and got frozen in place…

Also the purpose of artillary is to shell from a distance… Not right in the heat of battle not locked down :expressionless: that is litterally the opposite of how they are supposed to be used.

Most of her powers are garbo and scorpions are trash. The only advantage she has are the shielded nightgales right now, which isn’t enough.

I suggest making Ghost in the machine and decoy FREE, 1200rea/300power and 450re very expensive…

they need to make the lockdown scorpion a drop or something.

Ghost in the machine is horrible when you read the description its like this sounds BA. Then you actually use it and if the enemy does not avoid it. It’s like yeah i have some new units and 3 seconds later there shooting back at you.

it’s sad because non-offensive powers like displacement is 100 times better on offense.

I get what you’re saying seeguard but what happens is when she say attacks a base and I respond by sending units over or spots my units coming to her the Kinseno player cleverly drops a turret in front of my units which then stops them in their tracks as pathfinding sucks for vehiches and then drops inferno…it’s really smart and absolutely smashes my units and I have been super responsive to either turn them around or change direction but they just can’t get put in the.

With Isabel there is no way to replenish units with a drop and a map like highway it takes forever to regroup.

As for the Kodiaks I’m talking about when you going into a base and you do set them up you usually set them up then it group as you dont have much time to do the one by one thing around an ememy base so because they are group amd lockdown they get smashed by inferno as well :persevere: so OP. It should just damage level 3 Kodiaks not wipe them out…even when you unlock and try and drive them off it’s a no go.

Making it Free with a quick cooldown would fix it.

Sure thing buddy. But yeah, path finding is bad but while I haven’t had that happen to me yet I wouldn’t think a turret alone would stop a whole army.

Also so you should be setting up the kodiacks behind your army so they do work from a distance. That way the idea is the opponent’s army doesn’t get to them and they can’t see to leader ability. Also leaves flexibility for a retreat

Isabel still seems very up to me. I think CA think that a bunch of little buffs will suffice to giving her one big buff.

i am still not using isabel

if they want to make isabel contend with lets say atreox or other leaders that actually have really good abilities then dont just give tanks shields, make that buff give like healing drone tanks with increased health and armor + the already shield buff.

the problem i see with isabel is yes she has support role abilities but they wont hold up in a 1v1 high ranked game. they still cant contend

Isabel is my favorite leader. Definitely not a 1v1 contender, but for support she can cause major problems. Her air force with shielded nightingales always seem to work well for me, especially if a team mate leads the way for a push on an outer base, while healing from the rear. Classic rpg, its going to be a lot harder to win if you cant kill the healers.

Im glad about the ghost in the machine buff, because while she might not have a hot drop ability, taking units to add them as yours should technically count. Im still not sure about her power to “run riot” as they say since she has so few offensive abilities, but we shall see.

That is a shame, she does seem weak.

Well with the upcoming patch it seems that they may be able to redeem her just yet. I think the nicest touch to the change for her is that her Ghost in the Machine is going to last WAY LONGER now.
