Halo 5 never had split-screen capabilities. It’s impossible to do so.

The game engine apparently didn’t work right during testing, so they scrapped it.

I want to say 343 made it a priority that Halo 5 has to run at a constant 60 frames per second. Split-screen would reduce the frame rate to 30.

Split screen is confirmed for halo 6 though, so that’s a plus.

Not just Halo 6. All upcoming Halo games will have splitscreen.
