So people have been asking for a UNSC flying vehicle for a while now and now we’re hearing about a new “AV-49 Attack VTOL”. Could this be a tease for our UNSC flying vehicle in Halo 5? Or perhaps a tease of a new Halo Wars unit?
I love the concept for the Sword Hog. It actually reminds me of an idea I had a while ago for ONI Ghosts and ONI Wraiths. Basically I wanted to see an all black Ghost and Wraith lol. That’s sort of what we’re seeing here now, a shiny orange Sword Hog. Very nice.

Halo Wars Sparrowhawk is the AV-22.
So is Halo 5’s Shade Turret the Type-26? I just know the article is simply featured, hasn’t been updated.
Also, you just made me feel like going to Forge mode to also see what those corpses look like after some tweaking…
(still waiting for some info on those Killer Instinct color variants)

Yeah, AV-49 seems new, can’t find anything about it. AV-22 is the Sparrowhawk, AV-30 the Kestrel so AV-49 sounds fresh out of ONI labs…

Any chance there’s some info into halseys experiments with AI in slipspace in tales from slipspace? Or maybe some sort of hint at the domain being “in” slipspace? I would find that very interesting
Awesome Cannon Fodder, Grim. I can’t wait to see all the other Warthog variants as well as to dive into the pages of Tales From Slipspace come this October.

- I wonder if the Warthog is the only UNSC vehicle getting this treatment - Stinger looks interesting - Hopefully AV 49 wont just be a few words that are Canon but rather its own fully fleshed out vehicle at some point.

Err it’s AV-22, not 49. So who knows what vehicle it is.

The Sword 'Hog sounds interesting! Love to hear that the cooperation of the UNSC and SoS has created such a beauty. Does it really have shielding in gameplay though?!

Ah, the Shade Turret. Terrifying in-canon. Laughable in-game… until Halo 5 came out…
The description of the Shrike Turret was… interesting, to say the least. Suddenly I’m fascinated by a freaking turret. Like, what? Only in Cannon Fodder!
