What about, down the road, either stand alone or episodic scenarios from canon. To for example, play as Fred during the FoR, not the whole thing, but a mission, such as alpha team taking down the Covie cruiser via football nuke. Maybe also include non Spartan scenarios like some of Johnsons exploits at Harvest or Bucks exploits.
The idea also fits into canon via War Games, similar to Spartan Strike.
I also think this concept would do a little better than Spartan Ops. For one thing, we would know the “hero” of the story better, therefore having an investment in the characters, something lacking from Spartan Ops. Secondly, with the hidden terrain features of 5 and foreknowledge of an established scenario, 343 could incorporate alternate routes both physically as well as vary the ways to complete the mission. For example, rather than infiltrate via banshee and raise hell taking out the cruiser, ninja through the camp, or take more squad mates, etc.
I also wouldn’t expect 343 to necessarily do this for free, as quality should be paid for. So I could see paying a set amount, say 2 or 3 dollars for individual scenarios or 10 to 15 for a “pack”.
Thoughts? Any specific “missions” you’d like to see from canon? What would you be willing to pay for quality scenarios?

Yeah, I remember trying to figure out if I was on Fireteam Majestic or Fireteam Crimson. I got confused as to what character I was portraying, which is pretty sad in my opinion.
I would love to play as Johnson or play more as an ODST.
Yeah…this isn’t gonna happen. Who knows, maybe they’ll be spin-off games, but they wont be in H5 at all. Sorry.

Mine as well. The one reason I only played through SpOps a single time.
I think that’s a pretty good idea. For people who are always player 1, or never play co-op, they’ll only play as John or Locke. 343 have put their time and effort into creating six other playable characters, all with their own small differences. Even if they just based the missions around each of them, it would save time in terms of having to make new assets and characters.
