I preordered and received my physical copy of the master chief collection last night. When I went to watch halo nightfall on the halo channel it gives me the option to buy the MCC and the other is details. There is no way for me to watch it. What is going on?
Did you redeem the code for that came with your copy of the game for the “Nightfall Bundle with the Halo Channel?”
You have to redeem the code that came with the game.
I have the same Problem. I bought it Digital on ebay.
Is it a different Code ? Or the same as the Collection ?

If you have the disc version, there are 3 cards in your box:
- Xbox Live Gold Trial for 2 days
- Sunset Overdrive / Halo 5 Guardians Multiplayer beta
- Halo Nightfall
The Halo Nightfall card will have a QR code to use if you have a Kinect (one of the best uses for Kinect!!!). Or a 25-digit code if you’re manually typing it.
once you register the code, you have to make sure you have quit and reloaded the Halo Channel app. this refreshes the app to recognize the license you inputted. if you don’t know how to quit an app, go to the dashboard, highlight the halo channel app in the big tile, then hit the menu button on the controller, then choose quit.
What about for those who do not have a physical copy and hence no QR codes? I spent hours refreshing and re-downloading everything, resetting my entire system, etc. All to no avail. It is insane that I access Halo Nightfall from TMCC and it then asks me to Buy the TMCC. Has any official person from 343 addressed this?
I’m having issues as well, I have the physical copy and code and we have watched nightfall once. I’ve been trying to watch it again and it either tells me to buy TMCC or the channel crashes altogether and I have to restart my xbox. It’s very frustrating.
Hey guys. I had the same problem last night but i fixed it. So after you download the Halo channel and redeem your Halo nightfall Code turn off your xbox. Then unplug its power supply, let it sit a minute. After it has sat plug it back in and turn it on again. you should be able to watch Nightfall now. Hope it helps.

Hello i cant watch nightfall i way buy halo when I already redeemed the code
The Digital Copy is not recognizing the game and telling me to the game. I’ve bee on the with microsft for the last 30 mins and they have no fix. Its on 343 industries for this one.
i have the same problem as well ive done everything you can think of to try to get it to work 343 only reads their matchmaking issues because its easier for them to view the issues on hand with a report error statistics program synced to the “one”. however they probably didnt do it for the whole MCC app/game menu because they’ve already done trial and error with xbox one being compatible with it on every aspect my point is almost no one is having issues loading up MCC if you are theirs a chance your xbox could have some slight defective software/and or hardware issues my point being or the point im trying to get at is it could be a month before the -diptards- realize that for half of the xbox one users cant access halo nightfall at all.

From what I’ve gathered so far while both digital and hard copies are having a problem initially. Most of the hard copies have a working fix around. Not so with the digital. Microsoft is tracking this though now. Just finished talking with them about the problem and will be checking back with them on a day to day basis. I don’t even think 343 industries knows about it. But I bet if Microsoft gets spammed with this problem they will and fast.
343i knows, they’ve replied to people who experienced the problem on the Halo Channel Support sub-forum.
IMO they should make the first episode free to the public until they get a fix
