So I used the 14 day trial code that comes with Halo 4. I can’t upload files to my file share. It says “You must be an Xbox Live Gold member to upload files to your file share”. What’s the deal with this? I am a gold member.
I also went back to Halo 3 after playing Halo 4 and I cannot play ranked matches, only social. It says I need an “Xbox live Gold Membership to play in this playlist”.
Can someone shed some light on this?

I can’t do this either, and am also using the 14 day trial that came with the game. My friends who already have xbox live gold however can upload to the file share so I suspect that the 14 day trial is designed to be somewhat limited. I have a prepaid code for 12 months xbox live gold that I will activate after the 14 days have gone and I may be able to give a more definite answer.
