Cannot Update or Reinstall Halo Wars 2

UPDATE: I’ve figured out how to fix it! What I did was I downloaded it onto my xbox’s main hard drive instead of the hard drive extender I use and it worked! If you’re having this problem, try downloading it onto a different hard drive.

Here’s my problem: when I tried to update Halo Wars 2 last night for the new patch update, everything seemed to go fine, except it would suddenly stop at a specific point and refuse to install any further regardless of what I did. I’ve tried the following:

  • Hard resetting my xbox
  • Uninstalling and reinstalling the game approximately four times

Neither of those has worked. Each time I tried to reinstall it, the game would stop installation at exactly 56% and refuse to go any further than that no matter what I did. I don’t know what to do. I don’t want to wipe my Xbox and reinstall everything again but I’m getting desperate.

Also, you aren’t part of the Preview program are you? If you are can you let me know what level you are enrolled in?

I’ve tried those already and they haven’t worked.

And I don’t believe I know what the Preview program is, so no, I don’t think so?
