Cannot turn off skull in halo 2

So I have this problem where there’s a skull always active but it doesn’t appear for me to turn off. I have tried resetting my system, redownloading the game multiple times, and changing the date but nothing… It’s really ruining the game for me it also won’t let me play Halo 2 only with friends.

Are you referring to the Iron Skull by any chance? If so then it’s not a bug. Iron has always been enabled for Halo 2 Legendary co-op (even in classic Halo 2), there’s no way to turn it off I’m afraid. If you need some pointers on staying alive I would check out some of the speed running tutorials on YouTube, there are sections you can skip to make it a little easier

Or course if Iron isn’t your issue, we’ll need a bit more info to help you out. Any video clips you can provide would be good

The best way to get thru Legendary is to run the entire campaign with Bandana, Envy and Scarab skulls enabled and just go thru each level as best as you can. Regret will be the hardest as there are many snipers that you have to kill off first then having to melee Regret 25 times to kill him while enemies are trying to kill you, takes a while. You have to melee Regret, you can just shoot him.

Look for Zombie Stomp 08 youtube vides on speed runs, tips and part times. You can use some of these to help you get thru the maps quicker and even use map glitches to get you towards the end of the map sooner. Theres one glitch on Uprising where you can start and end the entire map level in under two minutes if your good at grenade jumping. Took me an hour to do it this way after finally learning how to grenade jump and have certain skulls enabled.

I managed to complete Legendary solo by myself. Took a few days though. Glad both Solo and Co-Op is DONE.

For playing with friends, try this, have each player set up the same map, options and such. Enter the game in solo mode for each. Then back out, rejoin each other then try entering Co-Op. Try having each player host and start the game. Also a hard reset on the xbox maybe needed as well. H2 is the only game with this issue. it took a few tries however one of you will be able to get the game going in co-op. Hopefully next patch will fix this.

It wasn’t the iron skull but after a couple hours I finally found a solution to my problem but thank you anyways! Now I have a new problem with the playlist haha!
