Hello i am a new forum user, i had purchased halo reach during release time and had played the game for about 20 hours, there was some connection issues to at the time regarding xbox live where i had to sign out aand re log into the game. that used to fix the issue for me. now i had just bought halo 3 on steam because i wanted to play halo 3 online. when i tried to play online it says “contacting server to get the latest matchmaking data pc”. i tried logging out and logging back in like some other threads suggested but that didn’t fix my issue, i tried to figure out if my ports were blocked or something but that doesnt seem to be the issue too. iit has been going on like this for 3 days already. i tried to log in with another account i have and still doesnt work. when i tried going into the network settings it displays all the xbox servers, and my ping to the xbox live servers. it was normal (ping is about below 25) on my nearest server (south east asia).
i tried veridying my files on steam and nothing was missing, i tried logging out and logging back in and it still doesnt fix. i tried switching accounts and it still doesnt fix anything.
what can i do now?

Update the game, that was something that happened to me for a while

Hey thanks for the reply! i do not understand what update the game means, do you mean to verify file integrity through steam ? or do a fresh reinstall ? this is the sixth day that this has happened to me. im still stuck unable to find a match. i hope this magically fixes it self for me soon.

I mean…I´m from gamepass. I couldn´t find a match for like 3 days, but I noticed that I had an update. An update is like…when you install fortnite, you have to update the game like in 2 weeks for the new content. My version of MCC does´nt notifies me when there´s avaible an update. May be you can check in Steam and see if you have an update to be downloaded. Tell me if you keep having this issue so I can look how I can help you.

hey my game veersion is the one most up to date. i tried reinstalling the game again, that didn’t work. oh well maybe i just won’t play online lol. thanks for trying to help me.

That´s sad LoL, if you have the Halo App delete it, it was descontinued and affect´s actually if you have the game, may be you can look the state of the servers. Or if this doesn´t have a solution contact Halo Support, they late a bit to answer but it ussually helps.
