Hi I was wondering if there is something wrong with the Private Message function on waypoint, Cannot seem to PM anybody. Or at least the messages I send aren’t appearing in my sent items?
Can anyone help?
That seems odd!
I know the user default setting is that they cannot receive PMs unless you are both buddies, so that may be the issue. Moderators and administrators override this, so try sending me a PM! 
Cheers, Just sent one now. So If you receive it then PM is working but I can’t message other users unless there on my buddy list? Seems a bit odd to me, but I can understand this to prevent spam.

People can set their inbox preferences to receive messages from everyone, just buddies, or no one at all.
It depends on their message settings as to whether or not they recieved your message. The easy way to check is going to your sent items folder. If it appears there then it successfully reached their inbox. If it’s not in your sent folder then it was blocked from their inbox due to their mail preferences.
I hope this makes sense. Ask if you’re not sure.
I really think 343 could do with adding in some sort of message in the event that the intended recipient did not receive the message due to their mailbox settings. Unless you check your sent folder you have no idea if it actually reached them or not.
