Alright, let me get this straight. Xbl is down yet again and I cannot sign into my xbl account. That’s annoying… so lets try playing a custom game offline…nope! This right here just pisses me off! Why the hell can’t I play a custom game of Halo 5 offline on my own Xbox? The only option it gives me is to play solo campaign, nothing else! How the hell is this not mentioned anywhere before I bought this game!
yah what the heck! 343 needs to add lan or atleaast let us run around the maps in custom games offline when servers are down
Yeah, this is becoming a situation with modern games in general. I believe custom games should have an offline setting in, well, settings.
And this is why always-online for non-MMOs will ALWAYS be a bad idea.
Yup I agree customes and forge should be offline for situations like this. If live went down I should be able to go forge a map and go to customes to try it out. 343 really update this feature. Keep this thread going so 343 addresses this with a update.

Y’see, online is how friends play with each other on games all the time now. And now there’s “no need” for “splitscreen” or “offline game modes”.
That or the quality of games is really going down nowadays.

“No need” for splitscreen or local multiplayer is a horribly wrong statement. Look at WWE 2K16. You can play local multiplayer on that game and it’s great. Some people want to play locally, I say you should let them do that.
Well like I said come on people let this problem be heard and they will have to address this.
