My buddies and I have been waiting for days to work out a time so we could all start playing through the campaigns together - now when we’ve all tried to party up, no matter what we do we cannot join each others rosters to play campaign.
I’m unsure if this is a Halo issue, an xbox live issue or a bit of both but I’m sick to death of things like this happening. I spend way too much money on this stuff for it all never to work. Definitely ruined my night. Honestly seems like this all worked more smoothly on the old consoles.
Does anyone have any fixes for the issue? Or has anyone had this issue? Tried different party leaders etc.
Yup had this issue since launch and as far as i know, there is no way to fix it.
it’s the broken games issue, not xbox live or anything.

Thanks for the reply dude.
Well, that sucks.
Solution found - Drive to friends house, sync controller, play split screen.

My brother and I were having party issues up until yesterday. Our problem was the game wouldn’t let me or him accept game invites and or go to each others names in the roster and select join player that way. (It wouldn’t even give the option in the roster section for invite or join player. The only options it gave were view player and stuff like that.) I don’t know if this/these are the same issues you are having but we fixed our problem by pushing the “XBox” button on the controller, then when the xbox goes into the home/menu screen, push what used to be the start button on the controller, scroll down and select quit. (Make sure you have that bold white box outlined over/on mcc in the menu when you select quit.) Then relaunch the game.
We both had to do this in order for it to let us party up so I would assume any and everyone trying to party up would have to do the same. We also had to do this after each MM match if we backed out of the lobby to restart searching for a match due to the game not keeping parties partied up. Must be that being the XB1 runs any game/app that is opened in the background, even after something else is selected, that doing this closes the game out so it can be started new.

That’s the exact problem that we had last night! I’ll give your fix a try tonight to see if it will work!
Thanks for that dude!
Try checking your xbox one security settings under the main settings section. Make sure it is set to adult.
To my knowledge the only way to fix party issues is to hard reset my xbox.
