After the update arrived, I waited until the REQs came online. Started using my saved up REQ points to get all rare/uncommon REQs out of the way but I noticed that I cannot get the new type of DMR and SMG… they are both rare but whenever I open a silver I’ll only get 3k back. Who knows what else I am unable to unlock. I know a friend of mine irl couldn’t get DMR with extra ammunition unlocked but I got it from a silver pack long time ago.
Is there a fix around or just have to hope 343i patches this asap?

Same here, got refunded with the last silver and I’m still missing these two.
Not all reqs are out mate. 343 has said they will announce when it is safe to buy req packs. Have they announced it? No so hold your horses a bit longer guys
I experienced the same, got them via gold packs.
I bought everything until I got points back in gold and silver. Don’t have the new dmr or smg. Waypoint shows I have 23/23 SMG’s and 24/24 DMR’s. I guess they aren’t out but I bought everything over an hour ago.

Not sure, I just bought another Gold pack to see what happens and got points back. Checking my loadouts on waypoint it looks like they don’t exist.
Unlocked the missing SMG via gold pack, either they are now available now or gold packs indeed are only way to unlock them, for some reason. I hope this is not the case, especially since you seem to get REQ points back only VadesUncle66. :S
Having the same problem seems like they are locked to gold packs maybe
I’ve witnessed people opening them up via Gold Packs, but they are rare so they should be in Silver as well. Just gonna hold out on this 5000, sleep tonight, get them in the morning when 343 fixes it if it needs fixing.
I unlocked everything already but I have not noticed this problem. When I go to my inventory they are there.

seriously do people not learn? its been like this every update yet people still seem surprised by it each month.

Read first sentence of the original post please. 
Happened to me In last update just wait a few days and you should be able to obtain them, buy some golds in the meantime.

I’m also not getting both of these. Last update I couldn’t get the DMR with xtra ammo. For me, it’s a normal experience and I usually have to wait for the next update
