Ever since the second or maybe even the first update, I send out invite after invite to a friend or two that I want to play with. (Custom or MM) They get the invite but cannot ever join my game session. I try from the Xbox home screen, from the ‘snapped’ friends list, and from the actual roster on the right side of the screen. So, I tell them to send me an invite. I receive the invite but it will not let me join their session either. Even the simple ‘join game’ function fails. Any suggestions or ideas? Although the gameplay was awful when the game was first released, I could at least attempt to play with the people on my friends list.
Same issue here man, I wanted to start going through the whole campaign with my buddy last night now that i’m done exams but it was impossible to get each other into a lobby together. We tried just about every option to invite a player, even reset the game and console but we get the same outcome.
This happened with my group in the last couple of patches. Everyone can join everyone with relative ease, except for the same two of us every time. You have to find a third person that you can each join, and that will work occasionally. If you want to do coop, have the third person leave. You will still have voice chat issues, so consider snapping skype because both the party chat and in game chat are unreliable.

I was playing with a friend who lived 40 miles away yesterday for about 20 matches or so. Occasionally, one of us would get dropped from the party/game and a hard reset would fix it. An annoyance occasionally, but we realistically talking about 1-2 minutes of downtime over a 4 hour playing period. I’m sure it’ll get better real soon.
Yeah, I am in Mississippi and he is in Georgia. We checked our Nat. Tried soft and hard reboots. Literally everything I can think of. Just play the waiting game now I guess.
