Cannot get Grifball gamemode for custom games

I am unable to get my hands on any Grifball gamemode for Halo Reach and Halo 4. I went into the Halo The Master Chief Collection/HALOTITLE/hopper_game_variants/ folder and searched for “grifball” and copied all of the gamemodes and paste them into my AppData/LocalLow/MCC/LocalFiles/MYID/HALOTITLE/GameType/ folder and they will not show in my custom games. I was able to do this for Halo 3 and play Grifball in Halo 3 custom games.

Does anyone know how to get all of the Grifball gamemodes for Halo Reach and Halo 4?

This is also the reason why I want this feature in MCC, Halo 5 and Halo Infinite.

When Griffball is in matchmaking, play a match in the desired game, then immediately save the map and gametype from your recently played selections (in-game). This will also work if you manage to join a custom Reach game.

It worked for me when I did that. Make sure that you have a map that is compatible with Grifball or the gametypes won’t show up.

PSA: Don’t delete or edit files in the hopper_ folders. Just copy them out. Matchmaking uses it and Easy Anti-Cheat will kick you if what it wants is absent or not identical to what it expects. There’s no ban risk (beyond getting banned for leaving a match because EAC kicked you) and on Steam you can verify the game files to fix any missing files.

So I start by closing the game. I start by going here:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Halo The Master Chief Collection\haloreach\hopper_map_variants
where I find the grifball maps and I copy them into here:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Halo The Master Chief Collection\haloreach\map_variants
Then I go here:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Halo The Master Chief Collection\haloreach\hopper_game_variants
and I copy the grifball gametypes into here:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Halo The Master Chief Collection\haloreach\game_variants
Repeat the same process for Halo 4.

Now when I re-open the game and go into my custom game options (not the CGB, let’s skip that for the sake of simplicity) I will see the grifball maps and gametypes that I added are set to be “built-in”.

Edit: I responded to you in that other thread you linked.

The reason why it was not showing the grifball gamemodes is because I did not copy and paste the grifball maps from the hopper_map_variants folder over. Now I have another issue which is I cannot create my own grifball gamemode.
